    SumIf (date range in Criteria)

Hallo NBVC, Thank you very much for your prompt and detailed reply. The last formula: =SUMIF(H2:H572,">="&DATE(2009,1,1),I2:I572)-SUMIF(H2:H572,">"&DATE(2009,6,30),I2:I572) works perfectly! With this formula I can now extract sums for any date range. Regards, Irma Wesselbaum

    SumIf (date range in Criteria)

Is it possible to have a DATE RANGE in the criteria part of a SumIf function? My formula =SUMIF(H2:H576,"<31/12/2009",I2:I576) correctly sums up all payments in column I where the payment date in column H is before 31 Dec. 2009. However, it would be very useful to be able to sum up payments...

Excel Nested If -- help, please!

Dear Brianwarnock, Thank you for pointing out the difference between blank and empty cells. The data I got contains empty cells, so the formula received from Kiwiman works perfectly: =IF($B2="","",IF($A2<>999,"0"&LEFT($B2,1)&" "&MID($B2,2,4)&" "&RIGHT($B2,4),$B2)) Thanks again, Irmgard Wesselbaum

How do I refer to part of a concatenated field?

Hi, I have a mailing label report with a text box (txtAddress) containing: =[Suburb] & " " & [State]&" "&[PostCode] which works fine. Most postcodes in the database have 4 digits, but a few of the addresses only have a 0 (zero) in the Postcode field. My question: is it possible to suppress...
