Can I format a Combo Box to look like a Text box on a form i.e without drop down buttons for selecting lookup values.

I find it strange there is not an explicit "Required" property for a textbox control on a form. Do you know if there is a reason for this? I am trying to learn Access as thoroughly as i can.

Community of Wise Ones how do I set a bound text box on a form to required. I can find no required property. Must I use Validation Rules property? If so what is the expression that guarntees that the textbox has valid info?

Can some please enlighten me? I am a bit confused as to why creating lookup fields in my table is such a bad idea. I read "Access: The Missing Manual" as an introduction to Access. I found it very helpful but I did not find in it any admonision against this practice.
