Sorry for the late reply, I have only intermittent wireless coverage on the road. I realize that mathematically 3.01 and 3.010 are the same, but for the purpose of my project they are distinctly different as they are a numbering scheme for informational forms. John, thank you for the welcome...

Is there a way to get Access to accept "3.010" as a valid input without it autocorrecting to "3.01"? I was thinking that specifying 3 decimal places be displayed in the Field Properties would do the trick but it didn't work.
