    Upgrade to Access2007 Reference Problem

You are probably right about being lucky! I was drafted into this position because I'm good with pulling reports. This whole database was a dump job on me. But it has had it's up side. Thank you again.

    Upgrade to Access2007 Reference Problem

That does explain it then. We use SQL tables. So I guess I fuddle through with DAO and ADO. One thing interesting it's creating Functions all over the place in 2007! Functions I have no idea what they do or why they are suddenly there. Is that "normal"?

    Upgrade to Access2007 Reference Problem

Thank you again. I will look into choosing DAO or ADO. Do you have a preference? Both ran just fine on 97 but we're not using that any more, Thank God! Do you have a suggestion for which one works best in 2007? Thanks again.

    Upgrade to Access2007 Reference Problem

:banghead:My database went from 97-2000-2003-2007 in the hope that the References would work once it got to 2007. Alas, that's not working at all. I checked the 2007 References and they match with the original 97 db but I'm still getting an error. When I try to open a form it's giving me...

Wild Card Search, variable vs field

That worked like a charm! Didn't even think of ASC! The data comes from multiple places, typed in, scanned in, copy/paste. SQL stores them all very nicely and generally speaking it comes out just fine in referencing etc. Just not this time. Go figure. But it does work now and I can't thank...

Wild Card Search, variable vs field

Good Afternoon, we're running 2007 and the smallest thing has me stumped! Our table field ([Assembly Name]) has some that end in "-RF". But the dash that is pulled from the table in my_RF=Right ([Assenbly Name],3) is different than if I do chk_RF="-RF"! They never match. The table extraction...

    Subform visible on ALL pages

Thank you sooooo much, Ling! This worked like a charm. Guess I should go back to school! Geees, after so many years of growing from 97 to 2007 you'd have thought I'd have known! New it was going to be an easy fix, just inches beyond my grasp! Again, THANK YOU!

    Subform visible on ALL pages

:confused:I have a main form which has about 12 pages to it. All the pages have various subforms and fields. Some are input, some are strictly information for the user. I just added a new subform to a page and now suddenly it's showing up on ALL the pages! If I delete it from one of the other...

    Combo Box loses automatic lookup

Hi, I really hope someone can tell us what's wrong here. We are using A97, and it still works too! Well, almost. We create an mde and push it through exe commands that copy it from our server and place it on the users PC when I update the database. We call it Live Update. I have over 100...

Chg Date/Time to Format "Short Date"

Thank you, Paul. I never would have thought that the References would whack out something so basic. I will certainly investigate further. kathleen

Chg Date/Time to Format "Short Date"

I took over someones group of queries in a small personal database and simply brought them over into Access97 database that has lots of tables, reports etc. He had his Date/Time converted to CVDate(format([Date Received],"Short Date")) which when brought into my db gives "Function isn't...

    Apostrophe problem and much more

I apologize, you are trying so hard to help me. I've got all my connection to SQL through ADO etc. My problem is how do account for any eventuality, nulls, apostrophe, or non-apostrohes. Thanks

    Apostrophe problem and much more

Thanks, Lagbolt, the tables are SQL, the application is 2003. I searched for DAO Parameter but hate the 2003 Help Services. Thanks, any way.
