    help!!

Place a stop at the Private Sub type_AfterUpdate() and single step (PF8). Im using Access 2007, so all I have to do is place the cursor over the field in the line after it has executed to see the value. You can also use Debug to show values in the immediate window. Hope that helps.

    help!!

Since I do not know you table or field names, I will just give you a design write up: 1) Using the same loop to read the data from Materialtable1 remove the DoCmd 2) Use the Insert Into (Check Access Help) EG: db.Execute " INSERT INTO Employees " _ & "(FirstName,LastName, Title)...

    help!!

Sorry I haven't been on the forums for a bit, busy hanging off a 3 story high ladder painting the outside of the house. If I understand correctly (usually I do not know enough), you have more than one record you want copied to the subform recordset from Materialtable1. Personally, I would use...

    Different payment Types

Well, you have a formidable task ahead of you. My approach would be as follows: 1) Pass one (Single query if possible...may need vb code if too complex) a) Determine the policy payment dates for each payment b) Determine the payment amount for each payment date (includes applying...

    Different payment Types

It is all determined by company policies. These are stated in the contract. Thats why I mentioned real early, "It is your application." Every application is driven by the requirements (Company policies drive requirements!). Side Note: I wrote a cash out program for a large insurance company...

    Different payment Types

Good point...all depends on the application...the math is the simple part...the requirements dictate the math. EachPaymentAmt=TotalAnnualPaymentAmt/PaymentTypeFrequency (rounded appropriately). *Rounded appropriately....in the financial institutions, many will not send or request individual...

    Different payment Types

Sorry, but it is your application. I do not know your requirements. The table, if you feel you need it, should be hidden and Administrator access only. The fields... would be: PaymentTypeID (Key autonumber) PaymentTypeDescription (if you need to dynamically modifiy a form or report to show the...

    Different payment Types

All depends on the volitility of the Payment Type. If this will not change (Fixed in stone) then hard code the division values. If the Payment Type can change, or new types can be added, have the division, description, etc in an Administrator table. This will save program changes when a change...

Upening subform in data entry mode

As I said in post #2, a requery will set the record to the first record. Your code With [Forms]![frmMainMenu] ![frmSubform].SourceObject = strSubform ![lblTitle].Caption = strCaption ![frmSubform].Requery End With does exactly that. When I comment out the Requery, it...

    Linking Lookup Tables?

Welcome to the forums Your mixing tables and forms. Tables do not have selection options. Queries can have! Anyways, either in the query or the form, use the selected model as a filter for the table 3 lookup. The rest will fall into place if the relationships are correct.

Using a form to enter ID# to select record.

Use the open arguments on the DoCmd.OpenForm, or in the Macro.

Upening subform in data entry mode

With data entry = Yes, try acLast instead of acNewRec in the DoCmd.Goto. Just a guess..... FYI: If you have a refresh or requery in your code, that will set the continuous form to the first record. Do the GoTo after the refresh/requery.
