ions: thanks for the suggestion, but it does not cover the situation where several child tables are linked to the parent table by the same key. Because I cannot find the property sheet for the parent, I appear to be permitted to open only one of the subdatasheets.

Still no cigar. I get a variety of items listed, depending on the data type of the field concerned. For example, for the primary key I get the items listed in Post no 7. None of the property sheets list the Subdatasheet name, as in your post no 6.

Outside of the norm, maybe, but therefore impossible? How can I achieve what I want?

AccessBlaster: ContactID is the join for all the subdatasheets. Access does indeed ask for a choice when opening a subdatasheet for the first time, but thereafter that is the only choice available. That is precisely my problem. I wish to be able to make the choice each time I carry out some data...

Following those exact steps, all I get is the "General" tab, as before. I'd show it to you if I could work out to paste a copy into this thread.

I think there must be a communication issue. Following your instructions, all I get is the tables "General" tab, which contains nothing of relevance.

You've lost me now. The only table property sheet that I can find only has a "General" tab. Where do I find the one you illustrate?
