The datatype is TEXT. Rpt master contains the field which displays 1 or 2. Inside Rpt Master there is a subreport which has a field and in this field I have my IIF statement.

Sry for the confusion, I named a fieled "ChkBoxs". I see how this can be confusing. I could have named it something else for less confusion.

I have this formula in one of my field's control scource. =IIf([Reports]![RptMaster]![ChkBxs]="1",[dateFiledGriev],[dateDiaryAll]) But this isn't working... I am recieveing #Error. Any assistance is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance :D.
