    What's your best/worst joke?

Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were swimming around in the sea, one called Justin, the other called Christian. The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharks that inhabited the area. Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm fed-up with...

    Simple? query question

Thanks Pat, It came to me last night that I might have to use two queries. I'll give your way a go and see how it all works out.

    Simple? query question

That's correct, if there is water in the load I don't want the load included. I have the relationship defined. Loads is the one MaterialByLoads is the many. All the fields for the query come from the Loads table EXCEPT for the "Not water". You can have the sql, but obviously it's wrong. I've...

Problem with a memo field in a query

Don't know if it's proper but it works for me... Build your query with criteria but omit the memo field. Create a second query from the first query and the table you created the query from. Add your memo field and all the stuff from the first query.

    Simple? query question

I can't believe I'm asking this. I have a feeling it's really easy, but I'm having a brain fart. I've tried a bunch of things and nothing is working. All I want is to see the loads without water in it. 2 Tables. Loads and MaterialsByLoad. All loads have more than one material. No matter what i...

Generating Monthly Report in MS ACCESS

Am I understanding you correctly in that you want to track (record) who has requested the report for what dates? I may be way off but I'm a little thick these days due to a head cold. If you don't need to record it, look in the help files index under parameter_query. The first three entries...

Generating Monthly Report in MS ACCESS

A quick and dirty way to do it (that you don't have to build a form for) is in the date field of your query type Between [enter report start date] and [enter report end date]. When the query runs a box will pop up prompting you for the dates to enter. If you have a form with the start and end...

    Deep Queries

The more I look at the queries, the more I think if I was better at code there'd be a lot less. I'll post an example Monday- I'm just about to bolt for the weekend.

    Deep Queries

I've often wondered if I've been doing my queries correctly and after following the link to Access VB SQL advisor provided by Pat, and seeing a comment on the very thing I've been wondering about, I've decided to ask. How often do you find yourself using multiple queries (queries on queries) to...

Can I move a field in a table?

If I understand the question correctly all you should have to do is go into the design of the table, highlight the field, then drag it to the position you want. (oh, then save the table.)

    Why Macros?

Thanks Mile-O, it's what I suspected but it's nice to know I'm not missing out on something important.

    Why Macros?

I was wondering why one would use a macro instead of VB. I've never used a macro yet in Access and was wondering if I was missing something. Thanks for any info,
