Altering the size where, if I expand the working area in design view it has no impact on the actual form view, I also have a band on the left hand side of the form with a black pointer on it, it is not a scroll bar and I cant seem to get rid of it any ideas

Two things I hope somebody can help me with, where in design view is the form display size governed? also if I call one form from another using the command button the new form appears on top of the one it is being called from and as it is smaller I can see the other form behind it. If you can...
