How do you take a button on a form (that calls up a query) so that a Field Name on a form is added to the query?

:( So my Last & First names are not alphabitizing on a form I've indexed them in the table, and that works fine So why doesn't it work on the form? I'm using Access 2007, I have a table with 20,000 plus record with first & last name
