    Compatibility / conflicts?

Thanks! I will look into both of these options - absolutely nothing to lose! :) Rowena

    Compatibility / conflicts?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have defragged the hard drive again, and it seemed to work fine. I installed anti-virus software and scanned all my files, and none were infected. I'm still getting the errors. Oh, well, as I said, it couldn't hurt. :( Rowena

    Compatibility / conflicts?

And of course, I didn't think of a virus... It looks like only one of the workstations has anti-virus software, so I'd best get hold of some ASAP. I defragged the hard drive last Thursday, and when I checked yesterday the analysys said the machine doesn't need defragging right now. One of...

    Compatibility / conflicts?

System information (long) We have a small network consisting of two PC's and a server. All machines are running Windows 2000, and Office 2000. We use Peachtree 2003 for accounting purposes, and it also is installed on all machines. My machine has, in addition, software to retrieve images...

    Compatibility / conflicts?

Do you folks know of any compatibility issues with Access? What I am trying to find out is whether some other software on my machine is causing me to have problems with my Access 2000 database on a daily basis. Have any of you encountered some program or programs that consistently crash...

    Defining relationships

Thank you! I did look at the design of each table, and I had already defined an autonumber as the primary key for each, and then when I went to the relationships screen, I was able to redefine all the relationships. Thanks again! :) Rowena

    Defining relationships

Greetings. I have one main table of customer info and several smaller tables that relate to it, e.g."jobs", "contacts" etc. For some reason, when I open up the diagram of relationships, only one table shows the correct one-to-many relationship; all the others show the generic join, and I can't...

    Grow field in report footer?

For anyone who is interested, I did a quick fix by simply increasing the size of the footer. I'd still like to be able to make it resize itself automatically, though. Thanks anyway. Rowena.

    Open 2 databases

Thanks, I have tried that. When I compact and repair the database it usually transforms itself into "unrecognizable database format" for some reason. I did solve my problem just now, by creating a blank database and importing the tables from the backup, then copying the good records that had...

    Open 2 databases

Okay, I have a database that is split, and I have made a backup copy of the back end. I have a lot of network problems, and every few records I get an error and the bad record has to be removed and re-entered. My strategy for this has been to open both the original table and the backup, to...

    Confused

It sounds like a record has become corrupted. This has happened to me a LOT. If you can, go into the table where the record is stored and try to delete it. If not, you will probably have to do something more drastic. I had to split my database, and I back up the back end at least once a day...

    Grow field in report footer?

Thanks for the reply, Alexandre. The footer needs to be complete on each page of the report, so forcing it to print on the next page will not work here. At the risk of sounding thick, I don't really understand how to do the other. I know that twips are the units of measurement for text, but...

    Grow field in report footer?

Greetings, I have a report that has quite a bit of information printing in the page footer. I have a field to show "directions to jobsite" and sometimes it may take up several lines, while other times it may be blank. I have noticed that when I print the report and that particular field is...

    Macro to print form

It works!!! It prints just the page(s) I need, with the appropriate info, and not the form itself! The macro was actually also printing the report; but it was also printing the underlying form. I just wasn't sure how to get only the report. Thank you! That's exactly what I needed! :) Rowena
