Possible to Convert laptop screen to vga or svideo

well you could see if you can get a schematic, or wire out on the panel and see if you can add a hddb-15 male end to it, of course having the appropriate wires going to the right pin-outs.

Change COM 1 to a USB Port

ummm, I may be wrong, but isn't a COM port limited to 128Kb/s??? Whereas a USB 2.0 port can go up to 480Mb/s (491520 Kb/s)? I know they make USB to COM adapters..... I don't ever recall seeing it the other way. (I mean, gender changers may work, but I think the speed differential is going to...

How do I set default values in querys?

In design view, I think you can right click on the field and choose the format there or: Format ([WhateverFieldorExpr], "Percent") You can wrap the format() function around anything you want displayed in a certain manner. So, any field you want as percent you would do as the above example.

    Mindless IT questions

Heh, at that same local computer store, we had a receptionist who had never really used computers before that job. One day she was installing something and it came up with a license agreement accept/decline page. She called me up to the front, and asked if she should "Accept". I decided I'd...

    Mindless IT questions

Heh, over a decade ago, I was working in a local computer sales/service store. I had sold a customer a brand new custom build system (Pentium 133Mhz). Well, I built the system, it had a CDROM drive (4X CDROM) and the works. I loaded Windows 95, and the system worked great! Well, the...

    Query from two fields

While it's not a normalized design, you could make expressions for both: Expr1: iif([yourfieldA] = "cleaner", 1,0) Expr2: iif([yourfieldB] = "cleaner", 1,0) Save your query...... Expr3: [Expr1]+[Expr2] Criteria for Expr3: 1 or 2 That should get you what you need. If you need a...

    matching strings except last character

Left([yourtextfield],12) or alternately: Left(Str([yourtextfield]),12) in the event that it's a number, you will need to convert to string first

    Searcing on three digits only

Hmmmm, apparently I misunderstood what he was wanting. I thought he was wanting all SE1's and >SE1's. What kind of messed up postal scheme is this? :p ;) j/k guys :) So, is like "SE1" a stand alone postal code? I figured it was a prefix..... sort of like all of Illinois zip codes are...

    Re: Form Paramanters in Query

Try this: Between [Forms]![YourMainFormNameHere].[reports_subform].[Form]![cboStartDate] And [Forms]![YourMainFormNameHere].[reports_subform].[Form]![cboEndDate] I think that should work.

    Poor Video Remote Desktop

Are you talking choppy via the remote link, or choppy on the computer itself? When you view the videos while sitting in front of the computer, is it still choppy?

    Chooser Form

Well, we've all seen it. You see it all the time when you are choosing fields in a wizard. You have a box on the left showing what you can choose, and a box on the right showing what you chose. You can toggle your choices back and forth from being chosen or not. Here's my sample on how to do...
