"Pretty" command buttons in Access 2007

Just when I had given up hope I noticed: 1) it wasn't just spiffy command buttons but checkboxes and option buttons too 2) copying a "spiffy" button and pasting it into a "dull" database turned it into a dull button So I figured it out. Go to the Office Button, hit Access Options, choose...

"Pretty" command buttons in Access 2007

Perhaps this has been covered but I'm having trouble finding the appropriate search terms. I have a .mdb database (created years ago and modified many times) that I'm looking at with Access 2007 on my Vista machine. The buttons currently on the main form and any new command buttons I create in...

    Semicolons within listboxes

All kinds of people have all different levels of experience with Access and what's great about this forum is that anyone with enough knowledge to ask the right questions can usually get an answer. Unfortunately for the people replying, what's difficult about any forum of this kind is judging...

    Semicolons within listboxes

Yeah I tried Replace([Desc], ";", ";;") and it fixes the display problems with subsequent records but doesn't change the cutoff. Thanks for asking.

    Semicolons within listboxes

I really appreciate all the feedback, but I didn't really answer my own question, Moniker, because I'm not asking WHY the semicolon breaks the process. I understand it signals the end of a column and thus the two column listbox returns odd information when asked to display three columns. And I...

    Semicolons within listboxes

I have a form with a two-column listbox on it. The first column shows the invoice number and the second column displays the (text) description. The user types some text into a textbox, clicks Search, and the matching results display in the listbox. Recently a record was added where the...

    SaveAs & ChangeFileOpenDirectory

I have a document named test.doc saved in C:\one. I open that document in Word (2003). Now I want a macro that shows the SaveAs dialog defaulting to C:\two instead of C:\one. I've tried... ChangeFileOpenDirectory "C:\two\" Dialogs(wdDialogFileSaveAs).Show ...and...

    Wildcards in SELECT statements

In case anyone is still following this thread, I found it worked if I replaced the asterisks with percent signs! Thanks for your help, Modest, and for everyone else who took a look.

    Wildcards in SELECT statements

Unfortunately I already tried that. Still no.

    Wildcards in SELECT statements

Well, interesting. That didn't work either but when I check the record count it's now -1 when it always used to return 0. If it's any consolation the way you wrote it doesn't work with the "short form" so I had to add in the Forms![Form Name] bits. :D Thanks for your help though!
