My guess is that it is beginning to treat like a date. It might be better to label the worksheets with 200901, 200902, etc. That way they can be sorted as needed and fulfill the date requirements.
If the add-on is provided by someone, perhaps even free, it may still be a protected VBA project, and so you wouldn't be able to access that add-on. Thus, if you contact the developer, ask about getting access to the whole VBA project.
Howdy, Ed. As noted on another thread, with my new position (since April) I don't get here often, but I occasionally miss the work in Excel. Then I sit down, and it passes... ;)
A solution from almost a year ago. Wow, the last time I was called a "kid" was about a half century ago. :D
You are right, Mike. I seldom get by here with my new position (seminary president). But occasionally I miss the old crowd and peek in to see what is going on.
Howdy. With VLOOKUP the column on the left has to be sorted for it to work properly. For INDEX/MATCH, there is no need to sort, and you can use any column to do the lookup. INDEX/MATCH is much more flexible.
Howdy. Assume duty is in Col A and StaffNo in Col B and each starts in row 2. In Col C2, put this formula:
=A2&","&B2
Copy down as appropriate.
Is that what you are wanting?
