ggreg, I think what you suggested allowed for nulls in that if you allow 12 fields for layers, that allows 12 layers of activities or sub assemblies.....but if a user only has a requirement for 5 layers the last 7 fields are empty. Maybe I've mixed up your message. What I'm toying with at the... -

Answer = ASP. You need to put your parameter boxes on the webpage as text boxes or combo boxes.....or whatever. Then the query goes in ASP before the <html> tag at the top of your page. Point to note: ASP tags are required whenever you are using ASP (strangely enough!!) They are <% "ASP Text" %> -

A report is what you want alright. Take it from me, the built in Report Wizard is a legend for making reports. I use it to build the basic shape of almost all my reports. It is easy to change/add any aspects you want after that. -

Help on Input Mask
Is it always P/2222/1234F which is entered or is that subject to change? If so why not just set that to the default value for the text box and set the text box visible property to no. Or if it changes and that is the format i.e. "text"/"text"/"text" in the Validation Rule for the text box...
