Hi Docman, It will not be straightforward, my research has led me to consider that my windows is not the best at interpreting the necessary DOS commands. The backend is FP 9 and the earlier versions may not be compatible with either FP9 or Windows.

Thanks for trying Gasman. Keys and indexes are remaining through linked tables so that is one job less. will probably vanish tomorrow when I update tables. At least I have found the right place to put the code.
