    The Trump Slump

@MarkK: Sigh. This wasn't a topic posted for a valid debate. So I will decline to comment further.

    The Trump Slump

@RogerCooper: This seems to be more of a relapse into Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) than a valid debate topic. The most obvious point: What recession????:unsure:. No evidence has been provided to establish that the US is in a recession. 1. The jury is out on the effects of tariffs on...

I'm sure there is a simple solution asset tracking MY NEW PROJECT.

As a follow-up to the concept of "normalization", the link below provides a very good on-line tutorial. Please be aware that the tutorial below refers to "Base", a Linux database. The "normalization" concepts presented in the tutorial still apply to the designing an MS Access database. Enjoy and...

Tip of the Day - Mothers Maiden Name

Unfortunately, I have taken these "security" questions too literary. I could never remember the answer to absurd questions, such as the name of your first grade teacher. But then @DickyP pointed to a very logical solution, make stuff-up.(y) Following-up on account security, I recall (years ago)...

Using VBA to find perfect numbers, and accurately calculate pi to 100,000 decimal places.

My "news" feed dropped this cartoon on me. Interesting website. https://www.offthemark.com/cartoon/technology-computers/math/2018-03-14

When did you started Access development? Are you still into Access? And Why?

Your database experience pretty much mimics mine, though I was involved in permit processing. I started out with dBase, then moved onto MS Access. Like you, the IT department snubbed my use of MS Access.

When did you started Access development? Are you still into Access? And Why?

MS Access has proven to be an excellent learning experience. But technology and MS Windows itself have evolved to the point that there are better approaches. MS Access is still a viable database application, so if people desire to use it there is nothing wrong with it. One of my concerns...

Install Office on new pc. Was installed on old pc.

If it is simply the motherboard and not a hard drive or an SSD drive you should be able to run office without any re-installation after installing a new motherboard (and attaching the old drive). My caveat is that I am using Linux so I don't know if simply replacing a motherboard that utilizes...

HIPPA is a joke. Every-time, you see a doctor they gather information and then "share" it with an endless number of "affiliates". My primary reason for responding concerns the application of HIPPA in the past versus now. When the Aids epidemic first broke-out many years ago HIPPA was used to...

Using VBA to find perfect numbers, and accurately calculate pi to 100,000 decimal places.

Here is another number of intrigue, the imaginary number expressed by "i", representing the square root of -1. https://www.quantamagazine.org/physicists-take-the-imaginary-numbers-out-of-quantum-mechanics-20251107/ Will the scientific community ever develop a "concrete" solution to what "i" is...

    Oikophobe: Word of the Day

More on the West committing cultural suicide. Douglas Murray has exposed the metastasizing Oikophobe that has been occurring. We also see "old timers", such as WWII vets becoming very disappointed in the decline of culture and patriotism. https://www.foxnews.com/video/6375619805112...

She is very knowledgeable. Very sad that she will not be able to contribute to the discussions. PS: With one post, I finally became a monthly "Top Poster of the Month"! :) Yea. Well that won't last long.:(
