    Mystery parameter on form open

Ok, solved! Yes, it was the subforms. They were all messed up. A record source and control sources must have been inadvertently saved during testing, though I never touched those. Ah well, mystery solved anyway. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

    Mystery parameter on form open

Yes, thanks, that might be it. These forms do have sub forms. For some reason, the control source was changed. I fixed it but now the sub forms don't work at all. I have to find an old backup to find out how it was set before. But I -think- I am on the right track. I knew it was something...

    Mystery parameter on form open

I'm having an issue and it's probably something stupid but it's really nagging at me so here it goes.. I have recently made some small changes to a form called Form2 (I'm simplifying he name for display purposes). On my main switchboard, I have a button to open Form1. When doing so I am...

Getting an error opening an mde file

Getting an error opening an mde file

Hi, I have a bit of a head-scratcher. We have a front end/back end split database using an mde front end (Bob Larson's classic technique to make client updates). We've had it running for years over a novell network (about 40 users). Suddenly yesterday, a message popped up when launching the...

Print report cycling through List Box

Passing a value from a form to a report Ok, sorry it has taken so long, but after a busy season I am finally able to get back to this. And after all effort, I decided to abandon the idea and start from scratch. So instead of dealing with a listbox which displays every record, I am going from...

Print report cycling through List Box

Ah, no. The list box is designed to highlight one record at a time. But what I'm looking to do is print a report for every record in the list, highlighted or not.

Print report cycling through List Box

Thanks, I will certainly give this a try and report back next week.

Print report cycling through List Box

Hello, Here is what I have: I have a form with a list box, which lists all those registered for a student orientation. I then have a button to an unbound report which prints a registration worksheet. This report looks up the student's name, test scores, suggested courses based on those...

    Compatability across platforms

Gah! Doesn't matter. Even when I create the mde digitally signed, I still get the "please open it with the 64-bit version of Microsoft Access." Oh well, so I took a laptop and installed Office 2003 on it. I'll have to make my updates there from now on.

    Compatability across platforms

While I'm trying to come up with solutions, what about using Access 2010 runtime? I tried it on an XP laptop I have but now I get this each time: In the full version I just go to the trust center and enable all macros. I do this when I set up the icon on every end users desktop. But I...

    Compatability across platforms

Then I get this error for the 2010 users: Which means I'd be back to asking IT to uninstall the 64-bit version and install the 32-bit version of Office 2010 for all the new computers.

    Compatability across platforms

So basically I have to compile two different mde's? Bummer. Oh well, I'll do what I have to. Thanks.

    Compatability across platforms

I have a shared database at a university across 2 campuses with about 50 end users. I have been using Bob Larson's method of front end-back end, creating an mde and making updates from my master mdb database (Access 2003). This has been working fine for years. Then along comes win7 and...
