Brian, Thank you soooo much....I am new to nested formulas, etc.....but once I took the "" off, it worked perfectly!!!! I could average, etc. once I formatted them as a number...I didn't get the error message... Again, thank you for taking the time to help me....I work for a school system...

I have a nested formula in my excel file.... =IF(F2>=15%,"4",IF(F2>=10%,"3",IF(F2>=5%,"2","1"))) Now I want to average the numbers that were generated from this formula (4, 3, 2, and 1)....I am unable to do this.....Can this be done?
