    Figured it out: When you create the switchboard, it lets you choose between "Add Mode" and "Edit Mode" - "Add Mode" only brings up a blank form, "Edit Mode" shows all records. You can easily change that through the switchboard manager! Hope this works for you - it solved my problem!
