Is there away I can create something so that when you open up the access that I created to scan for the current date (today's date) and then pop up that form or employee info that the date is on and shake a little like an on screen earthquake effect!?!

Easy I think what you're talking about is a find or search button. If you highlight your form and view it as a design, click command button on your toolbox (make sure the wizard toggle is on)then click where you want this button to be. Next you will see a window asking you what kind of button...
