Do you think it is even remotely possible that when he made that statement, it was true? I had never heard of Project2025 at the time and what was wrong with it anyway?

How about, "the average family will save $2500 annually if you vote for this dreadful bill"? How about, "this dangerous drug will prevent you from catching or spreading COVID"? "Take it to save others"?

Trump exaggerates. We know that. No one without TDS would call those statements "lies". Lie is a purple word. It has a nefarious meaning. It is not simply an untruth. "I know nothing about Project2025" may or may not have been an untruth but did it cause you any harm? Did it gain anything for Trump? Did it protect him from some punishment? Did it cause you to take a dangerous drug or support a very bad bill that has cost the public billions since it was passed? Even the name of the bill was an outright LIE (AFFORDABLE Care Act, my a**) and Obama KNEW it when he deliberately LIED to the public. Obama had been briefed on how the ACA would actually RAISE the cost of healthcare, NOT reduce it. He also knew that you were never going to be able to keep your doctor unless he signed up for the new plan you ended up with.

There are LIES and there are untruths (known or unknown) and there are exaggerations. A lie can only actually occur when the person telling us the untruth actually KNOWS his statement is untrue AND he has something to gain from telling the lie. Only mentally ill people lie just to lie. Normal people lie only to protect themselves from punishment or to get something from you like money like Comey did when he told Congress he didn't leak or authorize any leaks. THAT is a LIE that comes with a jail sentence and it looks like justice may be served finally. The COVID "vaccine" will prevent you from catching or spreading COVID. THAT is a very dangerous lie because it convinces you to take a dangerous drug that isn't going to live up to its promise. Do you understand the difference?

So you just keep going and trusting your "fact" checkers who never check "facts" when liberals tell lies or make exaggerations.

Regarding the $2 gas. I'm pretty sure that Trump reads and hears lots of briefings every day and he saw gas in the "2's" and got excited about it and simply misspoke. I remember one day I was running on fumes, I had been stuck in a traffic jam for an hour on 95 and finally cam to an exit so I could get off. Gas was over $4 per gallon and I passed a station that had a lower cents price than I remembered from the last time I filled up so I pulled in. Turns out it was the only "full service" gas station in Connecticut and the price was FIVE dollars and around 70 cents! Not $4.70. That mistake cost me $11. The sign wasn't a lie. It was intended to mislead and it got me. People in town knew but I didn't live there. The "ladies who lunch" always filled up there because they could stay in their Jaguar SUV's.

That's why the "Men didn't really land on the moon" conspiracy theorists always lose that particular theory. Too many people involved in the TV broadcasts, launches, recovery, etc. There's a sort of Heisenberg's corollary to conspiracies. The probability of validity of a secret conspiracy theory is inversely proportional to the number of people keeping the secret.
