Solved Raised command buttons (1 Viewer)

Apparently, 2021 does it a different way. I'm seeing from other responses here that some folks find the setting in Database Options whereas others have a different approach. In 2021/LTSC 32-bit, IF you select a button in Form Design view, Control Formatting becomes enabled and option BEVEL gives you a set of some complex (and some simpler) buttons with raised edges. You can also choose different button shapes (other than rectangular) and can do things to blur edges or surround the button with a colored glow. But I DEFINITELY DO have the property to "Use Windows Themes" as an individual property in the button's Format Properties list. I just can't find it in 2021/LTSC even though OP found it. Microsoft and their backwards compatibility strikes again!

I wasn't offended. I meant its entirely your choice.
The handling of themes and the range of button styles was significantly improved with version 2010.
I'm using 365

This is going to be interesting.
I'm on 2007. The person who is going to maintain, update and eventually develop the project further is on 365.

Forward compatibility isn’t normally a problem. Backward compatibility may also be OK as long as no newer features are used

What I've been struggling with is Microsoft's delight in hiding items that used to be in logical places. Lots of actions that were easy to find in earlier versions don't even appear in menus now.

I assume you are referring to the ribbon which was Microsoft's attempt to make menu items appear when relevant to the current task e.g. Form Design. Prior to that there were many features that were rarely if ever used as most developers didn't know they existed!

Unfortunately the ribbon wasn't well implemented in Access 2007 but was much improved in Access 2010. Personally I would recommend upgrading to a newer version.

In the meantime, which actions that were easy to find previously don't appear in the 2007 ribbon? Commandbars?

From the normal ribbon you can use File >> Options >> Current Database >> Ribbon & Toolbars options and disable "Use Windows Themed Controls on Forms" to bring back the stuff that is hidden when you turn on "Use Windows Theme..." option.
I too am on Office 21 but under File >> Options >> Current Database >> Ribbon & Toolbars I have no 'Use Windows Themed Controls' option. Any ideas?
