if the combo is bound to the ID, then the combo1 MUST use ID.
States dont need an ID field, since they are unique.

combo 2 source uses combo1 as criteria in the query
but you must refresh combo2 when combo1 is chosen....

cboStates has all state names. When user picks a state, the cboCity must be refreshed...

this is the counter,
in the report, add this field, set to RUNNING SUM = TRUE
put a label after the box: "of 4"

then when the report prints, it will read:
1 of 4...

using that many listboxes....
it will take a lot of code to create the where.

it may be faster/easier just to show the user everything, and let them ,right-click filter on fields they want to see.
