Thanks, I was looking for more in separate fields instead of concatenate...

Well the date is goofy....instead of 07/31/17 it is 20170731....I was trying to compensate for that

oh...btw it is a short text field...

Good point!

the field type is originally number...and it is formatted like "20070325" as a date...I don't know why they did it that way...

So that is most like what is causing the trouble...so...
