Moving to different form instances to same record.

Re: How to catch keyreturn in Listview

I tried it in listview and got the same results. Return not captured.

Re: Calendar View Form

Sure, but I see I never finished it. It was an initial demo for the much more involved one discussed in the thread. I do not show how to load it with data. However, may be more interested in this. ...

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

It is likely mine based on where it is. The trick is to always add to the list before deleting from the list (most times). My guess without looking is in that event add something to add to the end...

Re: Family tree

How proficient of a coder are you? The code is not trivial. I will see if I can pull out the important stuff from the example to make generic for people.

Re: Multiple Filters Continuous Form - Same as Excel

Here is a pretty good fake. I did not add any functionality, only make it appear as if I do. This requires very little code.

Re: Multiple Filters Continuous Form - Same as Excel

Obviously the datasheet solution is the easiest and is a built in answer. I am building a demo to fake this for a continuous form, by building a class module. The user then only needs a few lines...

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

These Active X controls can be a pain to register. They are really temperamental. If you are distributing your application, I would say it is not worth it. You can download mscomctl.ocx from the...

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

Thanks for the Idea. I will combine the two classes into 1 so you can choose to find as you type (filter) or search as you type (no filter). I never really finished the search as you type class,...

Re: Preserve formatting when exporting from MS Access to MS Word

Although Isladogs solutions are probably your best bet, sometimes you can just "dumb down" your report. In other words if you can reduce the formatting and make your report simple, you may get a...

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

@ironFelix,
You may find these classes of interest. You can do a lot with listboxes. Same idea of making a class module to turn any listbox into a find as you type or a to from listbox.

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

If anyone interested here is an updated class with a few more features.

2. optional double click drop
3. Return a sorted column
4. return current value from specified column...

Re: Generate dynamic expression from string

I am not sure of your real question, but there is plenty of recursive code out there to span a folder tree if that is what you are asking.

I get it now. You are saying that your function does not work, not that my code does support query names.

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

No it does not do that. It simply creates a recordset using the dao openrecordset function. Which takes a table name, query name, or sql string. So yes it does work with a query name.

Re: Form OK in Excel, but not in Access.

How is that related to the database you posted? That thing makes no sense to me. BTW, a form is a class. You can open multiple instances of the class, just like any other class.

Re: MS Access: custom control built in another language

Do you have code that would work for a listbox scrollbar? I realized all of that code is for a form. I assume modifying it for a listbox would be a huge task. Isladogs'...
