Well my thoughts would be

You were not too concerned on the bot guests as you now had more power, that they did not really affect the site.

You need to concatenate the path and the filename and the extension

Also if you do a requery of a form, unless you save the ID of the record your are on and relocate to it after the requery, you will get the first record in the recordset.
