Best way to insert Foreign key into tables in access form

@Pat Hartman - I know you post your sample table code db in a lot of different threads, but this is the first one where I saw the power point slide giving some extra details. Really appreciate it, this will simplify my app and let me add even more lookup tables without grumbling so much. :)

    File Explorer Big X

I think that was mentioned in one of the links I posted. Apparently if you get near the limit you get an exclamation point before an X. Now quit fooling around and get your power point done.

    File Explorer Big X

Some of my pics in file explore (win 10) are locked up (Marked with X) some are not. There is no picture folder in OneDrive. The ones with X I can’t open. Somebody help. I am running out of time to build my power point presentation. Google was no help.

Is MS access the unknown magic bullet of our time?

As databases go...Access is pretty limited in comparison to say My SQL or SQL Server but in my current gig as a contractor supporting a US Gov't agency with no budget for tool but having MS 365 licenses for all. I'm making do. (I am sooo missing stored procedures and C#.) IMO the proper way...

Thanks for answering! Its a moto Edge Plus. (I had to call the sales person to find that out, no where on the phone is there a name) I think that's an android but I am not sure. Right, now I hate it. I can't even shut it of at night, so it rings and wakes me up. He was suppose to transfer...

    32bit or 64bit

For reasons not known but only suspected, Microsoft did not convert Access internals to take advantage of 64-bit addresses, so there is absolutely zero benefit for such a usage UNLESS you have to work with 64-bit spreadsheets. None of the other Office elements benefit that much from 64-bit...

Any new way to get Access to Word with formatting

I may be an outlier here but I disagree that the Word object model is as painful as portrayed. However, I am pretty conversant in all things VBA (Word, Outlook, Access, Excel, Power Point, Project) so my opinion may be different than others here. IMO the Word Object module is pretty extensive...

    Progress bar of achived target

Just remembered another technique I've used for this. Create an image in an app that lets you create a rectangle with a gradient fill, then use that in an image control and set it's tile property (if I recall the name of that property option correctly) along with the control width according to...

Link to a powerpoint slide from an Access form

    You could try something like strFile =dLookup("FileName", "tblQuiz", "Quiz=" & cboSelectQuiz) strSlideNo = inputbox "What is selected slide to start" & Shell "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office15\POWERPNT.EXE" & chr(34) & strFile &"/N" & strSlideNo & chr(34) I guessed field names and...

    Making code more efficient

If you are using latebinding (no reference to the ppt library) then those power point constants will not be useable. Also make sure you set option explicit at the top of your code to ensure are variables are declared. It will help in debugging...

    Making code more efficient

Thanks for that, I already have "option compare database" and "option explicit" at the top of all modules I have changed to early binding for all objects apart from textboxes because I couldn't find a textbox object. It also enabled me to discover the issue with mySlide.Layout which should...

    Iterating Access db's

Yes this is all code in Excel, but sure you could drop same code into Word, Power Point, etc. Could do the same with ADO, but prefer to stick to the native access interface DAO when working JET. I assume if this was in Access you would just link to those tables in the external dbs. Still...
