but there is the same problem by using [Quantity]*[Price]

i am using the formula as =Nz([Quantity]*[Price],0) But only those values which are not a minus value(-70) shows the result for example Quantity--Price--Value "-70"-------50"---"0" "10"-------"50"---"500"

yes both are actual number fields

i am facing problem in calculating two fields i.e there are Three fields in my mdb named Quantity, Price, Value In quantity field the value is " -70 " and in Price field the value is 50 but when i multiply the quantity with price the result is "0" instead of "-3500" For example...

i don't get any result from this event. plz any one tell me in detail.

actually there is a form named purchasefrm having fields item description units quantity price value averageprice now when i enter a itemcode and quantity then price should be same as averageprice automatically. how is possible?

is it possible that my mdb project can be protected through vb code. for example no one would allowed to open a form, query, report or vb code in design view or would not be allowed to change in any design. but only who have the specific password.
