    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

You do not get to choose what is "on the table". When someone makes such a blanket statement of 47% of the people don't pay taxes, are dependent on government, won't take responsibility for them self, then it deserves to be scorned. I'm not saying Mitt Romney is unintelligent and was trying to...

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

Very poor analogy. Are you really trying to compare the media surrounding Mitt Romney's statements to the actions of religious extremists that caused American deaths? You can say they mis-characterised, that it is not right, etc, but I think you're stepping over a line of decency when you make...

For me, the "Feedback" tab lines up with the "Go to Last Post" button on the main screen. It isn't a deal breaker for me, just seems to sort of dominate the screen. Interestingly enough, on my smart phone the feedback button is much less of a distraction as it seems to occupy the same space as...

I hate to be a negative nanny, but I suggest moving the bar to a less dominating position. In its current location it seems to take up valuable real estate (namely blocking certain thread titles). Maybe others won't find it as intrusive.

    Republican Convention Wrap-Up

Agreed. The Republicans are in the midst of an ideological battle. However, at the DNC, I was a bit shocked when they voted to amend their platform to include a reference to god and Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. There were far more than a 3rd of the delegates voting AGAINST adding it...

    polygamy

This is really key, and probably the main reason I am against organized religion. They all try to tell others how to live their lives. If polygamy, or friends with benefits, or whatever else living situation works for all involved, then who cares? Let others make their own decisions and...

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

Based on early post-convention polling, it seems that the DNC gave President Obama a bigger boost than the RNC did for Romney. It will be interesting to see how it changes as the election draws closer.

    Republican Convention Wrap-Up

The DNC seemed much more positive than the RNC. A lot of good speeches, with Bill Clinton taking the cake. The crowd was much more diverse than the RNC. I think Deval Patrick's speech was also quite good, and significant as he was the governor of Massachusetts right after Mitt Romney.

    Republican Convention Wrap-Up

Obviously I am biased because I am a Democrat, but the best way to change the Republicans is to hand them defeat. John Huntsman was recently on the Colbert Report - he actually seemed like a moderate Republican, and the RNC did not even want him present. Fiscal conservatism makes logical sense...

Interesting, my results: 91% Democratic 89% Green 44% Libertarian 25% Republican 79% President Obama Seems pretty accurate.

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

It is cyclical, I'll grant you that. Only if you were otherwise going to vote for R. If you were going to vote D, but then instead vote for I, and R wins, then you're likely to be quite disappointed. Ralph Nader comes to mind.

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

We're all going to walk on broken glass or lava, you get to cast your vote for which. Until a 3rd party candidate actually wins, its doesn't make sense to most people to consider them a viable alternative. Don't get me wrong, I wish it were. But history does not back it up. I really do not...

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

Actually, I think most people vote for one guy because they can't stand the other guy. So they vote D or R because they really don't want R (if they voted D), or D (if they voted R). A 3rd party candidate essentially "doesn't count" in that context. Yes, I have looked into the Fair Tax. On...

    Mitt Romney VS President Obama

What do you feel the Democrats have done that indicates that they are a corporate puppet? I'm all for 3rd (or 4th, or 5th) parties, its just that so far they have only ever been able to shift presidential elections one way or the other. True, and while I applaud some of his stances, he has...

    Is this really News?

As far as tabloids or talk shows, I think you're right. Here, I disagree. A discussion forum on an Access site does not generate revenue for a news organization. What sells papers is people buying the papers. If you purchase a magazine or have a subscription to a newspaper, you have some...
