    Application.FollowHyperlink

Hi, The code I'm using gets the Google screen open and the LatinName inserted but goes no further. I was hoping to open the Google screen, insert the Latin Name and get the search started. The code I'm using is - Dim Tempstr As String, lenstr As Integer, J As Integer, strURL As String...

    Application.FollowHyperlink

So, I have a plant name that I have from a table. I can open a Google page from VBA and insert the plant name. And there it stops. If I hit the Enter button, Google finds all the links associated with the plant name but I would like the Google search to start automatically without the help of my...

    Application.FollowHyperlink

Thanks for the link but it's not what I'm looking for. I want to be able to use the Access database VBA code to trigger a Google search after the webpage had been opened and the search text inserted, which includes a trigger added to make Google start the search.

    Application.FollowHyperlink

Hi code-writers I have a piece of code to use Application.FollowHyperlink strURL command, where strURL is the search word(s) entered by the user. It works well but not as I hoped. At the moment, the code opens Google search page and enters the search words into the searchbox. What I would like...

Make button control select from VBA

Thanks for the responses. I will give it a go. I had a feeling there was going to a more efficient way of doing it.

Make button control select from VBA

Thanks for the response. Yes, I want the All Button to be 'pressed' from VBA before the Search Form is opened. Is it possible to call one OnClick event from another? If so, that would appear to be the cleanest solution.

Make button control select from VBA

I have a form with 3 buttons that select 3 views of the data - All data, Archived data and Live data in a subform view. A pop-up form is used for detailed searches but only searches on all of the data. As the existing view on the main form could be any one of the 3 main form button options, I...

Yes I did. Like all my databases, it's never finished but it's working well. For once, it's good to design one with my own spec. I wish you luck with yours, if you go down that route.

    Unbound values and triggering events

Yes, it works, thank you. I'm puzzled as to why the IsNothing() function isn't working for you. Was it the reason the code wasn't running on the OnLoad event? Thanks again, and to all who offered help. Kind Regards DaveE

    Unbound values and triggering events

Hello nhorton79, Thanks for that. I have thought about doing it that way but then I extended to function, to using the form with the 4 unbound controls of each measurement type in a way that allows me to enter a value in any of the 4 and get the conversions in the other 3 controls (After...

    Unbound values and triggering events

Hi arnelgp, There are no calculations in the unbound fields, they're done in code in an event, if I can find one that works. I put breakpoints in the event ONLoad, after the code, but it doesn't stop. It seems that OnLoad, OnOpen or OnActivate won't work with calculated unbound controls.

    Unbound values and triggering events

Hi All, I have a main form which contains 2 bound controls showing height and spread. Beside each of these is a button which opens a pop-up form ('Measures') and the value of the corresponding bound control (height or spread' in inches)is sent to an unbound control on the pop-up form. So far...

I will create a similar set up as an example and upload, if possible, tomorrow. Thanks for your help thus far. Dave E

    Passing values between forms

Gizmo, Thanks for the response. The example you supplied is a basic link, on a form, between a combo and two subforms. I have a Form with two subforms. One subform has just a list of names for selection, in a Continuous Form. So, all my names appear in a scrollable list. When a record is...

    Passing values between forms

Not quite what I'm after. I don't want to change the record fields but to change the focus of the record so that the conditional highlighting will work. It also keeps the name in the list form synced with its fields in the MainView form. The problem lies with getting an event to trigger the...

    Passing values between forms

Hi guys, I have a main form that has two subforms, PlantList & MainView - the list shows the Latin Plant names and MainView shows data associated with the Latin name. Clicking on the list name will show the info in the other. I use an unbound field [ID] on the main form as link for the 2...
