Lately it seems like some posters have been drinking Testosterone and Adrenalin cocktails.

Tampa and suburbs, like Brandon, Temple Terrace, all the way up to Lakeland are just as hot. Pinellas County (Clearwater/St.Pete) are a little cooler because they're on the "Gulf of America". But the Greater Tampa Bay area is not immune to hurricanes. I experienced 3 of them last year. Just make...

    Click Farms

I have been living on and off in Florida since 1968. It's by design the most lawless unregulated State in America! Other Deep South States are not that much different. You don't need a permit to carry a concealed firearm in Florida. I lived in New Mexico which is an open carry state and saw...

    Click Farms

I perceive the OP as trolling to fuel toxic controversy. I have noticed this pattern on other threads the OP has initiated or participated in. Everyone needs to lower the tone and volume!

    Click Farms

Google AdSense and several other monetization platforms are able to detect click farms, boiler rooms, and other fake methods. If you want more clicks on your site, earn them the honest way.

How to give a fancied DBA read only version of the tables.

So provide him a copy of the live flattened tables upon demand. Never grant access to the production accdb to anyone, except the users.

UK Online Safety Laws - I, and therefore the site, are at risk

The optics of UK's efforts to censor the internet looks flimsy. I doubt they would prevail in levying fines and prosecuting stakeholders outside of their jurisdiction. At most, they could ban access to foreign sites, but a vpn can workaround that obstacle.

    Code Repository Essentials

I would to contribute to AWF's Code Repository the healthcare documents management app I recently built. However, the Code Repository Essentials post says it's closed. Can someone please elaborate? Thanks.

I can anticipate more political and religious posts contaminating the tech forums if the watercooler is shutdown. I have already noticed trolls in tech forums intentionally creating controversy to inflame the atmosphere. Without warning, I will simply ignore anyone I perceive to be haughty and...

I have a better idea, which is to ignore you, but unfortunately no ignore button shows up for you because you're unbelievably still a "super moderator". So I am formally asking @Jon to change your role to non-moderator so an ignore button appears that I can press.

    Windows 10 End of Life

Understood, and what you say is true, but @riktek insists he has/can launch an accdb that lives in native Linux while logged into it. If that were possible, then Linux versions of Access and all other Office tools would be available for purchase from Microsoft.

"Pat", if that's really you, there are times when I feel your AWF account has been hijacked because I just can't believe several of your inflammatory posts. I've known you and Ben Clothier since 2013, and you were never like this back in those days.

I did notice some of the attributes you mention, however, you expressed your opinions in a respectful manner, and therefore still nominate you for the mod of mods role. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, including Judges, regardless of their oversight role as long as they're impartial and...

I agree with all 4 of your suggestions! As for #2, will all posts containing the new words your going to add get automatically starred out? If not, then hide or remove those posts. As for #4, is the super moderator role the new person who will moderate all other moderators? If true, then I...

Mostly neutral? 🤣 and you should've seen what Daniel has posted in the past about AWF that Jon called him out on. Daniel removed a lot of it, but you can still see it via The Wayback Machine. The fact remains that the UK thought police doesn't share your opinions, regardless of whether you can...

KVM stands for Kernel Virtual Machine. All Linux distros come with KVM's. It looks like AI gave you the wrong answers because your comments above illustrate your inexperienced with Linux, and accdb's on non-Windows environments. Everyone who knows Linux knows what a KVM is.

UK Online Safety Laws - I, and therefore the site, are at risk

Even if it's true, it's unethical and unprofessional for an Access forum's site owner to be posting negative remarks about another Access site. It's like wanting to chop up firewood from a tree that hasn't fallen yet.

You can link a blank accdb on Windows to the accdb BE on Linux, but you can't launch the BE in Linux.
