I tested this many times. i gave you before simple formatting example. i have different formatting for many fields and they all work (i mean execution they turn text red). problem is that background color is different from the fields that don't have formatting. they should be uniform. all to...

rule don't matter. it is not wrong it do what should. something is mixed with colors. background colors i think is problem. don't know how to choose correct one. it is supposed to work when you change nothing. default should be same like other fields color.

When i write formatting i only choose red font color i don't touch background color. i tried even to put background color to automatic no effect. i don't know if i need to use background color which to use so there is no contrast and can be like other colors where is no formatting.

See the field where string "N/A" is red that is formatting if this field is equal to "N/A" then make it red. i think is not about formatting but something about back color. when i delete formatting white back color disappear and the filed is blue like other fields (in the record where cursor is).

I know that. i am talking about horizontal lines can be vertical too but are not always available at the end maybe it is corrupted version of access

I can add borders but gridlines are sometimes dimmed. I wonder can it be only with older versions of access when i work on 2007?

I always use datasheet view but I have to test again to which reports i cant add gridlines and yes again I always use can grow and can shrink
