Scrooged was good. I also liked Ghostbusters.

I liked 'Blazing Saddles' too but I definitely like 'Young Frankenstein' better. It really is one of my favorites. As far as old B&W movies go, since I brought it up earlier, I also love: 'The Scarlet Pimpernel' with Leslie Howard and Merle Oberon 'Psycho', and pretty much any Alfred...

Why don't black and white ones count? There are tons of old movies from the 30's and 40's that I love.

    Musical inclinations

I played the clarinet from elementary school through high school, with a smidgen of tenor sax thrown in. I was pretty good at the clarinet, not so much at the sax, just because I didn't do it for very long and didn't get to practice it much. I wanted to play drums but my mom wouldn't let me...

    South Africa?

Just curious. Hubby and I visited there once when he was competing at the World Powerlifting championships. We were in Cape Town though.

This site is ever increasingly becoming a joke...

I didn't see it either, but I'm guessing he made some drive-by comment that really wasn't necessary, and then added in something about food just so it would 'fit' the original topic of the thread. But if Bob, Vass, and DCrake all thought it shouldn't have been there, then that should say...

This site is ever increasingly becoming a joke...

Re: Not a good way to manage a site... What's really sad is that he had to put that warning out there to begin with. If people would grow up and act like adults and stop making disparaging towards other people, countries, or skin colors none of this would even be necessary. I agree that...

    iPad sucks for PC users

Sorry it took me so long to reply. Mine is an Asus Eee PC, I believe the model number is 1005HAB. Like this one, except mine is kind of maroon in color. It came with a battery that is a little more juiced up than the basic one also, so I can use it longer. My hubby bought it for me for...

Trip to Greece - Any tips, advice?

Here in Oklahoma we still fight off Indians (or, ahem, Native Americans) on our way to school and work as we ride in our covered wagons.

And if that's how they were advertising it (and pricing it) I probably wouldn't have an argument with it at all. :)

    iPad sucks for PC users

I don't have SQL Server or Visual Studio on mine (yet) but I do have Office 2007, and in a pinch I have used my netbook to VPN to my office and work off of it. I tend to be a multi-tasker too. :)

    iPad sucks for PC users

So can I! I love my new phone...and it has a touch screen too. ;) I wouldn't want to read a book on the iPad either. That's what the big argument is between the e-readers and the Apple fans, that the iPad is better than a Kindle for reading. I've never used a Kindle, but I can sure see the...
