Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

Hi David, I had tried that and no joy, still getting #error Option Compare Database Option Explicit Public Function Location(Optional SpecDate As Date = 0, Optional AdmitDate As Date = 0) As String If AdmitDate = 0 Then Location = "Community" ElseIf DateDiff("d", AdmitDate, SpecDate) > 2...

Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

Had a go at this but am now getting query errors - assume I've got the wrong end of the stick: Option Compare Database Option Explicit Public Function Location(SpecDate As Date, AdmitDate As Date) As String Public Function Location(Optional AdmitDate As Date = 0) As String If AdmitDate = 0...

Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

Ahar I think I might have figured out one part - the datediff had the two dates the wrong way round: Option Compare Database Option Explicit Public Function Location(SpecDate As Date, AdmitDate As Date) As String If DateDiff("d", AdmitDate, SpecDate) > 2 And SpecDate > AdmitDate Then...

Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

Hi David, Huge thanks for your help with this - I have not really delved into modules but this seems to accomplish my needs, with one issue. If the patient is not admitted then the cell is blank - this returns #error when I want it to return COMMUNITY. What would the syntax be for entering an...

Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

An update, I've tried porting this equation: =IF(AND((SpecimenDate-AdmissionDate)<=2,SpecimenDate>=AdmissionDate),"PRE-48h",IF((AND((SpecimenDate-AdmissionDate)>2,SpecimenDate>=AdmissionDate,AdmissionDate<>"")),"ACUTE","COMMUNITY")) using the Expression builder to get...

Query criteria - porting from excel, a bit lost!

Hi all, I have a query I'm using which I want to do something funky with but I'm not sure how! Basically I am currently using a very complex excel spreadsheet to maintain a line listing of patients with a certain condition, which automagically calculates certain fields. I'm attempting to...

Healthy, tasty snacks that get delivered to your desk!

Ahh here a lot of online purchases will be sent via RM, so I guess they aren't hit too hardly - couriers are quite pricey. The nice thing about these boxes is that they fit through virtually any mailbox, so you don't have to "sign" for them ... although at work they receive them anyway over...

Healthy, tasty snacks that get delivered to your desk!

Just a bit concerned that royal mail might get a bit peeved delivering all the boxes now, lots of people are trying it out!!! We even do swopsies if someone has something that we'd prefer! Ruth

Healthy, tasty snacks that get delivered to your desk!

Forgot to add, delivery is included. Works out at £2.99 full price, which is roughly what I would spend on a sandwich at work anyway, and I haven't been hungry or tired at work for the last two days so it must be doing something right!

Subreport has no records to show - display message?

Hi all, I've done a bit of searching but all the answers I am finding relate to a report, and not a sub report. I've got a report set up which is working perfectly, it has several sub-reports running off their own queries and whatnot. I've set the reports to can grow/shrink yes, which is...

Hurm, just tried it again and it seems to work now - I guess I must have had a typo and/or missed some punctuation somewhere along the line *scratches head and goes to hide under a rock somewhere*

    noob forum

I think the problem with a noobies forum would be just that - it might well end up being frequented only by noobies or kind-hearted people who want to help noobies. At least with the current system, it's fairly obvious where to post your question most of the time, and you know what kind of...

view parametered criteria from qeury in report as header

Think I figured it out - I was putting it in the Page Header and not the Report Header - I'm guessing it won't work on page header (where I need it to be)? Ruth
