Super Easy Mail Merge and subforms

Hi Gary, Thanks for the speedy response, not sure I understand what you mean though! All the fields on the subform are using completely different queries to pull the data in, and as none of these fields are on the field list for the master form, how would I make a table with these fields in...

Super Easy Mail Merge and subforms

Hi all, I wondered if anyone has got Super Easy Mail Merge to incorporate subforms when doing the mail merge at all? It does just what I want it to do, but isn't picking up any of the fields from my subforms. Here's the link to the information & sample database, you just have to import the...

Form field not populating through to table

Ahar I figured it out!!! It doesn't quite work as intended as it doesn't show the values when the form appears but it does populate them through to the table: Private Sub cmdSaveRecord_Click() On Error GoTo Err_cmdSaveRecord_Click Me.SpecimenID.Value =...

Form field not populating through to table

I use options explicit and it throws an error without the declarations. The fields of SpecimenID and PatientDetailsID on the form where the data is entered are named as such, however their control sources are as I posted above - I'm not sure if this is what you're referring to?

Form field not populating through to table

Nope. Still not saving the data. I tried changing it to PatientDetailsID rather than NHS Number to simplify things (patientdetailsID is an autonumber & PK for PatientDetails table). Here's the code: Private Sub cmdSaveRecord_Click() On Error GoTo Err_cmdSaveRecord_Click Dim SpecimenID As...

Form field not populating through to table

Hi Ray, Would I put that somewhere in the VBA for the cmd button? Yes I do have a "Save Record" button but had not thought to add this to it. Private Sub cmdSaveRecord_Click() On Error GoTo Err_cmdSaveRecord_Click DoCmd.DoMenuItem acFormBar, acRecordsMenu, acSaveRecord, , acMenuVer70...

Ray, Sorry could you clarify that a bit for me, as I'm somewhat confoozled by what you mean! Put an unbound text box I got as far as, but no further!! :$

Form field not populating through to table

Hi all, I've got a setup with a Master form: frmPatientDetails And a subform: Specimens which is tabular, based on a form "frmSpecimenDetails" which runs from a query "qrySpecimenDetails" On the subform for each specimen there is a button (cmdAddAdmission) which opens the form...

    syncronize two subforms

A potentially easier way (and to avoid syntax errors) might be to click on the "..." button beside the Control Source box on the properties of the item you want to update, and then "build" the event by navigating to the form you want to pull the info from, and the field. Might be of use :) Ruth

Office at home or rented space?

Thanks for the thoughts Chris, much of what you've said are exactly in tune with my thoughts - at the moment I am not really big enough to warrant an entire office however in the future having somewhere formal for big meetings/presentations would be useful, and I know of a few office places like...

    iPhone, is it worthit?

I have the HTC TYTNii / AT&T Tilt and I have to say it's an awesome phone. It has everything in built as standard that I wanted - full HSPDA, GPRS & EDGE (whatever that means anyway, but it means I can get net access anywhere!), GPS in-built, Wifi in built and so forth. The massive advantage...

Office at home or rented space?

Just looking for some opinions really, I run an IT Support & Web Design firm and have done for a couple of years, we're actually booming at the moment which is quite suprising given that many are feeling the pinch of the credit crunch! At the moment I run the business in evenings/weekends...

Creating a company run from home

Just incorporated my company, in the UK you no longer have to appoint a secretary, so I am a sole director. I have used my accountant's address for my registered business location but I believe you can use anywhere, but be aware of local regs - you might need to declare the property as a...
