I don't shout at all. I do know a few people here who do. The Irishman I met a few weekends ago seemed unusually soft spoken and when I commented on it, his wife about peed her pants in laughter. He seemed shocked to hear it as well. LOL. So, it is possible that I am used to a higher volume...

LOL @ shithead. When I was a young girl, out neighbors got a new dog. They took weeks to name him. In the interium, they would call "Hey.... Dog!" The name stuck even after they picked a new name. Forevermore he would only answer to "HeyDog."
