How to remove a datasheet's subform view

Hi I have some forms where I allow datasheet view. Those forms also have a tab control containing subforms. When in datasheet view, there is a "plus" just to the right of the record selectors. If that is clicked, the first subform displays between the current datasheet record and the next...

ResizeForm Me - An Automatic Form Resizing Tutorial

Hi Colin I think your new support for tabbed document display, needs modNavPaneTaskbar to be imported, as well as modResizeForm. Many thanks for a finely crafted solution for those of us finding the font sizes we used 20 years ago, now way too small. I'm using this in the new charity application...

    “Syntax error in JOIN operation”

Solved by creating a button on the parent form, called say “Datasheet” whose click event does this: Me!subform.Form.RecordSource = "" DoCmd.RunCommand (acCmdDatasheetView)I.e. it empties the subform's recordsource before then switching the parent form to datasheet view. When I then use the...

    “Syntax error in JOIN operation”

Update: setting the suspect subform's recordsource in form design rather than dynamically, using identical SQL syntax, eliminates the above error message, but drops the required functionality, which as I say works just fine as long as one stays in form view. There is evidently something...

    “Syntax error in JOIN operation”

Misleading “Syntax error in JOIN operation” Hi I’m getting a “Syntax error in JOIN operation” when switching from datasheet back to form view. The form has a tab control containing several subforms. The error only appears after a particular tab and subform were active before switching to...

Any animal charity accdb's out there?

Thanks. The charity is in Brittany, France. Checkout "The Green Valley Brittany" on Facebook. All are volunteers and they do great work. At the moment the need is to manage the animal, foster and adopter records. May make a start next week if nothing suitable comes up.

Any animal charity accdb's out there?

I may shortly be assisting a start-up animal rescue charity in Brittany, with their data management needs. Whilst I can start from scratch with an Access 2016 app, both they and I would appreciate any shortcuts e.g. building on work already done in that space. Initially we’re needing to manage...

    Returning fan

I developed in Access 2.0 for many years, then moved on to VB.net and SQL Server. Recently returned to Access 2016 to create my own app for tracking personal accounts and stuff. So quickly reminded how productive, capable and fun(!) it is. Maybe the latter is what held it back from enterprises...
