Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

Thanks, I don't think the collection is hanging around so the pointer is being erased; alas the event is not firing.

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

Sorry @MajP I'm utterly lost here. Forgetting the advanced stuff & just trying to learn the basics, even though I'll probably remove it but so I learn. Atm I cannot seem to get the cls to stick around in the collection. 1 - I cannot get the event to fire when tying it to the cls. 2 - If there...

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

I don't see the adverts in MS Edge either Doc. Even with the standard setup (without the DarkReader add-on). Yeah I thought there would be a min-height css property; that's normal.

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

Good idea, it's adverts I think. I use MS Edge most of the time; lightweight & fast. I didn't bother logging in on the other browser but the OP's seem to have adverts tied with their some of their posts.

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

How interesting, suprised this info is not more ubiquitous. Helpful; thanks. Just a user-defined class, regardless of form or not. A user-created class. Not necessarily constrained by a form (if classes can only be created by forms then fine, a parallel to the form). I mean a class that is not...

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

Post-3 in this thread auto-shrinkwrapped. Trying a quote now and backspacing on the auto carriage line. ; lets see if quote is what it is:

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

It isn't just the first post. Nor is it when a user views their own post as I don't put any unnecessary return carriages at the end of a post. Again it's no big deal but just out of interest is all. I altered post-1 after Doc's input. post-3 shrinkwrapped automatically. Maybe it's to do with...

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

I've encountered it quite a bit, some posts appear unnecessarily tall. Though I didn't enter any return characters... it appeared taller. At least on edit it resolved it but I think there may be something going on. Been a while since I posted (apart from recent).

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

You're right Doc, apologies to the forum. It is by far the best designed I have encountered, & the calibre of users & I am a member of many forums (not just Access). Very fortunate to have found this forum.

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

Maybe it's because when viewing one's own posts they appear taller?

Solved Why Does The First Post Appear So Tall?

Is it not a waste of space; causing unnecessary scrolling & wasted time in making it appear so tall. Not the end of the world, but myself personally think it would be better if it was a normal post size; shrink-wrapped css. Says how well designed the forum is if this is my only gripe :).

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

Thank you both so much for extremely detailed high quality help. As mentioned I did many iterations & playing around massively all day long trying to understand what was going on & just to get it to work. I want to understand classes & events amongst other things. The input I have received from...

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

Thanks for your patience guys. The trouble is I have done much experimenting making it impossible to explain exactly what I've done. Again thanks for your patience. Also not helped by my first play with a CommandBar... Something along them lines. In @jwcolby54 generous book 'Event Driven...

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

I believe that would be helpful if I knew the Collection Name & if it was the same as is currently written in the VBA code, BUT I do not & the code is not the same. As I said I changed the names lots of times. So we don't know what the Collection's name is. So the collection's compiled name...

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

The problem is I created many different collections and classes relating to this particular form. So whatever is currently in the VBA code is irrelevant if you get my drift. Somewhere in the CurrentProject/ CurrentDb I have rogue instances of a Collection and or Classes which I need to find. I...

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

Thanks bud, it is not a collection class, just a plain old collection. I was wrapping Text Box controls in a class. Assigning an Event to the class & then adding them to a standard collection so the event/ class would stick around. But as i said unhelpfully changed the names lots of times so I'm...

Solved Unkown Cls/Collection Holding An Event

I wrapped all textboxes in my frm.description in a cls to assign a right-click CommandBar menu to all textboxes to save me doing it individually. Then added them to user-defined collection so the right-click event would stay around. The trouble is I was playing around with the cls names &...
