It also hasn't been disproven that seal hunting is any worse than hunting other animals. I've never hunted before (never touched a gun and never will). But I still believe others should be able to hunt, as long as it's within the laws in that jurisdiction. The seal hunt falls into those laws.

Well I asked you to prove your "most Europeans" claim. You said the EU was banning seal products. That decision was supported by "most Europeans." So basically you tried to prove your first claim with the same statement.

So if the politicians decided this, then 25 people out of all of Europe (25 member states of the EU) decided that the seal hunt is wrong. :p

Just a curious little tidbit: Norway currently isn't a member of the EU. Not sure if that means anything, but I'll throw that out there.

It can't be disproven that most Europeans disapprove of the seal hunt? Have you been to every part of Canada? I'm quite sure you haven't talked to most people in Canada. What if every Canadian you haven't talked to is a software developer?

How am I supposed to believe your assumption that the majority of Europeans feel the same way as you do? I could say that most Canadians are Software Developers because I think they are, and you'll just have to believe me.

I knew I wasn't probably going to get an apology for it, so I just ignored it. An accusation with no basis really doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

Where had we decided that this had to end? Can it not just be continued on under the current laws/restrictions, making sure the hunt is done humanely?

Ah. I wasn't trying to be snarky. I've actually been a lurker in here for a long time but I really didn't join the discussion much because other users (like yourself) had covered my points for me.
