    The Trump Slump

As the year comes to end, let's take a look at Trump's achievement of generating a recession single-handedly. Inflation up and employment down. These were predictable results of his policies. He generated inflation 1. By increasing tariffs 2. By increasing the deficit 3. By pressuring the...

I have been doing some historical research and I have found the Wikipedia to generally be superior to other broad sources on historical matters (such as Geacron and Centennia Historical Atlas).

    Real History

The Wikipedia is doing a good job of summarizing recent scientific work on the population of Neolithic Europe. I have read many articles showing the advance of the Early Farmers from the Near East. At Lepenski Vir in Serbia, researchers found a hunter who died in a farming community...

Recent genetic studies of Neolithic Britain, show that the farmers did move and in colonize in Britain (and the rest of Europe). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Early_European_Farmers as opposed to the indigenous populations adopting farming. As for more recent immigrants, I know that in the US...

    Real History

The first human settlers of Britain were hunter-gatherers who arrived by way of Doggerland. Around 4000 BC they were replaced by far more numerous farmers of Mediterranean origin. As for the recent immigrants to Great Britain, it is worth noting that of the 10 richest Britons, 4 are either...

    Real History

The idea of the Picts being dark-skinned is an old one. In the works of the Pulp writer Robert Howard (creator of Conan), the Picts were a small dark people. As is usual with this nonsense, there is a tiny grain of truth. The first farmers to migrate to Britain were olive-skinned (from the...

Could You Survive a Carrington Event?

I checked elsewhere and looks that solar panels would be OK, as long as they were disconnected from the grid during the event. The problems caused in the electrical grid are because the voltages build up over the long lengths of the wires. Solar panels fared well in the recent hurricane in...

Could You Survive a Carrington Event?

It makes a big difference. If the entire world is affected, there is no undamaged area to manufacture replacement transformers. Superstorm Sandy did knock out power to the entire New York City area. Power was restored in 1-2 weeks as crews from undamaged areas conducted repairs. I wonder how...

Could You Survive a Carrington Event?

Checkout this report https://assets.lloyds.com/assets/pdf-solar-storm-risk-to-the-north-american-electric-grid/1/pdf-Solar-Storm-Risk-to-the-North-American-Electric-Grid.pdf from Lloyd's of London. It is worth noting that a Carrington-level storm would not knock electricity world-wide. The risk...

Need help understanding how to best store and query PDFs and other yearly training documents

I use Access to store PDF's on a regular basis. I use the attachment data type. You can use VBA to manipulate the attachments. For example, I automatically generate an e-mail with all the attachments for a specific record.

    Humanipro application

My experience with linking Excel spreadsheets with formulas to Access is bad. Links would stop working, even without changes to the spreadsheet. Simple spreadsheets are stable, but you still need to be careful with dates, zipcodes and long strings of digits.

    Dlookup for previous record

You should add an autonumber field to your table. That would make figuring out the previous record easy.

    Printer and performance.

Reinstall the printers. Try opening the report in Access and changing the printer. Good luck on this, printer connection problems can hard to solve especially with label printers.

    Warehouse inventory and sites

Any sort of inventory/warehouse system is going to need a transaction log. Every time inventory is received to the warehouse, sent from the warehouse or moved in the warehouse, a transactions needs to be logged. Without that, you will be unable resolve discrepancies.

If I understand your data structure correctly, you view 10,20 and 20,10 as the same because it is the same people involved. You could require Player2ID to be greater than Player1ID.
