    I tried it but still have a problem, Im getting a 'syntax error in server query expression'[frmIndServReq]![txtAddress]='130 Normandy Road" Am I formatting the stuff before the equals sign correctly? I also tried this [Serv Req Query.Address]. Any ideas?

    That is the name. When I originally put the subform in, it was called 'child'?(dont remember the number) but after going through the subform wizard, it asked for a name at the end giving a default choice which I used. Payments Query subform

    Sorry George, I see what you mean with those three fields going bold on afcus as mine does also but my problem is with the rest of the fields. They go bold on switching records. Did you take a look at the screenshots, the three fields you mentioned are the only ones that stay normal for me.
