    RecordSource

you can set your focus to the original if that form is open but I dont know know if that original form will have the same record as being a subform with filter criteria recordsource. you can always experiment there.

    RecordSource

ok. but why do you choose to output a FORM instead of a QUERY? I think when you assign new record source in your subform, it will only be applicable to the object you are giving focus. so the original records in your subform is not change so you cannot expect change of record when you output...

    RecordSource

uhm.....there is no mainform. so how do make your code work from there if you are saying that it is a subform. if you have a subform, therefore, there should also have a mainform. or maybe I am missing something here !

    Cascading Combo Boxes?

well, first of all, the two tables that you mentioned here must have a common primary key so that you can establish the relationship between the two tables. next, it's either on the lostfocus of the first combobox or the gotfocus of the second combobox, requery the second combobox. you second...

    timesheet form

that is still ineffective normalization i think, because you are duplicating part of your records in table 1 to table 2 thru your subform base on your main form. I guess there is no need to specify whether monday, tuesday wednesday etcetera since a coding will make that for you, especially you...

Question Getting in the Back Door

well, obviously that person who made that program for you dont want you to get inside his program since it is his right there. our possible advice is to contact that person and ask him to unprotect the database file. doing so will cause you trouble if you insist of getting inside what he made.
