the time on my switchboard updates only when you select a button. it doesn't change time when you leave it. i used the insert time and date function. can anybody help?

you say use the status does this mean that it isn't able to book an item. Because i don't want to be able to book an item twice when it is already booked out. this is probably an important feature that needs to be included.

booking ID is a number that is given to each booking. it's just so i can see how many bookings i have had

yeah i was trying to do the thing on "frmBooking" this is because this is the main booking form so if someone wants to enter some data then hopefully a box would come up to say that that item is currently booked etc. please could you tell me how to do this. im not sure what state the database...

i have tried cutting it down to the bare essentials but there is still 1.2mb left of data after zipped.

the file is too big to email aswell. it cuts down to about 1.3mb from about 5.5mb so i can't quite send it!
