Is it possible to requery mainform and NOT it's subform?

I ask as I have a query which shows all "False" records based on a checkbox. On updating a record via the subform checkbox, I need to requery the mainform to keep the SUM function ticking over nicely (Or it's always one record behind) But, on using the requery for the main form, the subform...

I genuinely appreciate it. :) There's one slight problem with the Sum function on the datasheet view working one record behind on the updates, but I'll figure it out!:( . lol [UPDATE] all sorted. I just added an Afterupdate even on the subforms checkbox... Me.Parent.Requery purrs...

    Xbox or Playstation

I've had an Xbox since the old breeze block was launched back in 2001, and have always had one since. Ok, so my first 360 died with the RROD after 4 months, but Microsoft swiftly replaced it within 3 days. The service I received from them was second to none, and rarely had XBL gone down (not to...

    Access 2007 - Continuous form

Sounds like you have too big a form header, OR the gap between the top of the form and the first field is too large...? Maybe?

Form calcualted control using calculations from a query.

Well, the Dsum certainly got rid of both the #ERROR? and #NAME? handlers. And it's "almost there"... but I'm looking at summing all [yncreditqry] and yndebitqry] that are valued today only. Eventually these will all be completed fields as time goes on, but looking for sum of each of them...

Form calcualted control using calculations from a query.

Now, excuse the crudity of the forms and so on, it's no where near finished. When it opens, you'll go straight to the form that's giving me trouble. Other data is only example. The Statement Difference is already loaded, and in this example is, say, -£2,000 Once all tick boxes on the sub form...

Form calcualted control using calculations from a query.

I've tried the following - based on query ; qryRoncileSub unbound textbox name is [TotalYNCredit] in the footer. =DLookUp(Sum([yncredit]),[qryReconcileSub]) .. #NAME? (I'm missing something here) OR =Sum(Nz([Forms]![frmReconcile]![frmReconcileSub].[Form]![yndebitqry],0)) .. #ERROR...

Form calcualted control using calculations from a query.

Hi Alf You're absolutely right. That's exactly what I'm doing. Using the query for the subform, I'm pulling all data where there is no date in the ReconcileDate (hence pulling all transactions that have yet to be reconciled) and using the subform to update as I do so. I'm using the...

Now, please don't laugh... I'm trying to perform what will no doubt to many, be the simplest of Access functions... but to me - well, it's driving me crazy, and I've been just about every conceivable way through the problem, with no luck - despite trolling these forums for hours. All I'm after...

Query changing criteria on it's own...

There is no code what so ever when the form loads. The only code I have (at the moment is to requery the subform) and that works fine the criteria is pointing to the right form.

Query changing criteria on it's own...

Morning all. I have a dilemma that's bugging me, and I can't seem to understand why it's doing this... I have a query, and in order for it to run properly, I've set it to look in an unbound combobox on a form to display the necessary data I want, as long as I never close down the form, this...

New "record" error when no "Records" exist..

What I've done is setfocus from another subform to this subform, and I want to add a new record. I've got my code mixed up somewhere along the line as it's saying "the command or action 'RecordsGoToNew isn't available now. I'm trying to setfocus to this form, create a new record and setfocus...

What books would you recommend for reference?

I mean, I'm ok with Access. I'm very FAR away form being proficient, like some of you guys here, and was wondering... I've seen a few books on VB, VBA, Access, Office and so on, but what book will be a complete reference guide to "everything" Access, that takes you through complete design...

    VBA brain dump

Hi CJ, thanks for the links. The lower link has proved most valuable over the last few days, but... I've managed to get the data into the destination combobox no problem, but it's highlighted as if it's been copied but the detination combobox it's sitting in does not recognise the data (even...
