Update or Append? and how to accomplish this?

hmmmm, shouldn't be read only...... Are you opening it directly from the zip? I run into that problem (by running the zip directly from the link, and then open the file) I find if you download to your pc, extract, and then open the extracted db, this alleviates that problem (that or you might...

Update or Append? and how to accomplish this?

I'm enclosing a database that has both append and update queries. The append query searches the main table and appends them to a table for you to enter in the missing emails. The update query then updates the emails you added to the main table. An answer to your question would be...... use...

    Hard to Believe

The patriot act was just another example of government being able to disregard your rights in the name of national security. Personally, I know of not one person who died in a terrorist attack..... it's just like these school/work/church shootings...... I know of not one person who was shot...

    Hard to Believe

Amendment 1 states, congress shall make no laws recognizing a religion, nor can they prohibit free exercise of religion. So, if a law-maker wants to proclaim his love for God, he is fully entitled to do so; however, he cannot enact a law saying that the U.S. Govt believes in a certain...

Actually the sky isn't blue at all..... it's mostly transparent..... the blue color you see is the blue light spectrum reflecting off particles in the air. :p

    Hard to Believe

We need a president who is going to be financially responsible..... this means cutting the deficit, government pork, and maybe helping the rest of the world less. I'm more of a Laissez' Faire' type person, though...... I think the Bakken (North Dakota) oil field is going to be a huge boost in...

    Hard to Believe

Heh, the only change Obama represents is the same rhetoric of the Democratic party. And really, who is he going to unite? He's voted partisan almost consistently. You know what's really scary? Take a look at all of Bill Clinton's unfulfilled promises ...

Convert length of time to years, months, and days

Edit: Never mind.... I see that your code works regardless of leap years...... However, it doesn't show how many leap days were involved, not that it matters in this instance. Heh, that's what I get for reading and not testing the code :p

    Help - I don;t want to reformat ...

if all else fails, copy what you can of the partition (ignoring errors) to a new drive (using some sort of partitioning/ copying software), and then reinstall the OS on top of itself (repair method). Given with what you've stated, there's a good chance you messed up your hdd pretty good, but...

20 Gigs of HDD space missing

It's not missing 20Gig, that's how much space is used by the partition catalog (~7.5%) If you boot into BIOS, it should show you the total capacity of the HDD. On setup, it reports the size of the partition minus the index/catalog portion used up by the partition.
