Got it, sounds like a dandy multiFunction Form. Instead of covering these controls with the subForms. Why not place them elsewhere on the mainForm, if you do not wish to see them set the visible property to No. If these Controls are for selection uses for the subForms, maybe create another...

Maybe it's just me, But I have got to know. Why do you want to have the subForm covering the Controls of your MainForm?
