    Label Wizard / Printer Problem

I thought that's what it would print too. All the data is formatted to > in the tables & forms but it's printing everything in lower-case. I installed a new driver for the printer and it's stoppped printing that error code. I still can't get the label wizard to recognise continuous...

    Label Wizard / Printer Problem

Hi Ken. That label programme works great! Thanks. Two things though: 1. How to I format it so it prints in block capitals? Is it in the code? 2. How can I use it (if at all) to print the results of a query. I.e. multiple names & addresses?

Transferring data to an Access DB

We know less than squat. This database has been going for years. Long before mine or anyone elses time. Last I heard the person who built it had moved to a remote part of Australia. With good reason I think....:-) If I find out anymore I will post back here. Meanwhile I've got that printer...

Transferring data to an Access DB

I get the following text when I open the batch file in notepad: cd\andrew G:\util\ inner4 andrew andrew is the name of the batch file. G:\util is the drive & folder it is stored in. There is also a .DBN & a .IDX file named inner4. Could this be it??

Transferring data to an Access DB

No that's got about 20,000 records in it! All I can find file-wise is the batch file to access it. I can't find the actual database, don't know where it's located. That's half my problem.

Transferring data to an Access DB

I can zip the batch file but it has no data stored in it when I do. Does that matter? Sorry if I sound stupid but I know nothing about this sort of thing. As you can probably tell....

    Label Wizard / Printer Problem

Thanks for that. Am I able to use that code so that it prints the current record of a form? I also have to print a number of order labels per day depending on the results of a query. Can it also be used for this purpose? Any idea why it only shows one record per page in the report view? So...

Transferring data to an Access DB

I've been thinking about this and I think trying to transfer this is going to be more trouble than its worth. I think manually inputting the data is going to be much easier. If I start today I should be done by 2012... :-) Thanks to you all for your advice on this, I really appreciate it. I'll...

    Label Wizard / Printer Problem

This may take a while so please try to stay with me on this: I have set up a query and a report (using label wizard) so that I can print a label of the current record viewed in a form. This seems to work until I get to the actual printing stage. The printer I am using is an Epson LQ-300...

Transferring data to an Access DB

Thanks for your replies. I had a feeling this wouldn't be easy. The DOS database has approx 20,000 records in it. I don't know how to view the structure. I really do know nothing about it! It uses a .bat file to open it but as it's loading the following text appears: Reading .LBL file Does...

Transferring data to an Access DB

Thanks. Any idea how I can export the data into an xls or csv format? I know nothing about how MSDOS works.

Transferring data to an Access DB

Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer data from an old MSDos database into an Access 2003 one? If so any idea how you would go about doing this? Thanks in advance.

    Autokey / SetValue problem

Hi hope someone can advise me on this: I've got a form with fields 1 - 12 on it. I've set up an autokey macro so that when I press 'CTRL1', field 1 is updated with a "Y". So far so good... The next time i press 'CTRL1' I want field 2 to be updated with a "Y" (as long as field 1 is populated)...
