    Adding to a listbox

docmd.openquery "QueryName" Now do I detect a certain student getting lazy and asking "easy" questions. And who permitted you to use VBA now anyway? ;) Re: Macros Do Not Use Them. End of discussion Re: Macros

:o Was just about to call it quits and go to bed. BUT if the whips and chains are out then . . . . . .

    Adding to a listbox

My apologies. I had assumed that you were already using a seperate form for the Match & Goals. (Hence the subform suggestion rather than two seperate forms). Should have recalled whose mother assumption is. Apologies.

    Adding to a listbox

You have in essence solved you own dilemna. On your Goals scored form, you will need: Combo Box 1: MatchID - Select Match Combo Box 2: ClubID - Select Club Combo Box 3: PlayerID - Select Player Text Box: Enter number of goals (To permit for the return of Archie Thompson) These four combos...

    Adding to a listbox

Seem to remember that the score board attendent lost count and credited us with an extra goal. Was some debate over 13 or 14 goals. Either way, it would've been real handy to be able to "bank" a few and use them in other matches. Hmm now lets see . . . . Craig ... Craig ... No sorry, no...

    Date grouping by month

Definitely do not change the underlying dates. Obviously these dates are relevant. Always store the most detail possible as you can always "tweak" the display later. In the Field for your query, rather than using [YourDateField], you could use: FormattedDate: Format([YourDateField],"mmm...

    Adding to a listbox

You can always rely on an Aussie to destroy a db structure. I seem to manage that on a regular basis without leaving my chair. Re: How many? ?? 13 ?? - Unlucky for some (American Somoans)

Saving a Primary Key to two different tables on one form

Without looking too deeply at your structure: Sounds like a task for a main form (Frm_Job) and two sub forms. Subfrm_JobDetails & Subfrm_BJDetails This way the two subforms can have seperate record sources (relevant tables) and you can relate back to one primary job form.

    Adding to a listbox

Ahhh, 'tis making more sense now. Combo 1: Rowsource = Players names Combo 2: Rowsource = # Goals (Combo 2 is not real intuitive - A text box would serve a better purpose here. What happens when Harry Kewell scores 11 goals in a game. Not likely but why have you db limited by design...

    Adding to a listbox

I am a little confused. No VBA? That seems an odd request. Are you not allowed to even use Me.Refresh etc in coding etc? Are these two combo box values "related" at all?

Email current record as a Word doc or Report PLEASE HELP

Sounds like you are 90% there. You will need to limit the Record Source for your report. Normally you would do this using the WHERE criteria statement in the OpenReport. However, you may need to limit the record source in the query etc as the WHERE criteria is not available when using the...

At least you searched first ;) http://www.mvps.org/access/api/api0002.htm Has been covered many times though. Your search must have been unlucky.

Create folders on network using Access db

This has been covered numerous times on this forum. The search feature is quite powerful, and can save you a lot of abuse from nasty forum members ;) Just this once . . . . mkdir "c:\directoryname" OR If you want user input etc: mkdir "c:\" & me.textboxname

referencing text boxes from a form to a report

binghamw, Using the "lookup wizard" or "lookup" option inside a table inevitably leads to these issues. Tables should be considered as data storage only. You should not need to perform any display operations in a table, as users will not be looking at tables. All your display work can be...

    Desktop to Pocket PC

LarryT, I think you will find that most regular users of this site are all really busy people also. From your description, you are aware that the fault lies in design. If you were to strip the data from the db (and irrelevant forms etc), compact and repair, and then zip, you...

    Help with combobox and hotkeys....

Am I missing something here? Access does this automatically, assuming that your combo is displaying the "Male" & "Female" options. Simply ensure that your combo box property "Auto Expand" is set to "YES" This will result in the effect you are after.

    zipcode validation...

Using the beforeupdate event will enable you to "cancel" the entry of invalid data. Private Sub TxtZipCode_BeforeUpdate(Cancel As Integer) If IsNull(Me.TxtZipCode) Then Exit Sub If Len(Me.TxtZipCode) = 5 Or Len(Me.TxtZipCode) = 9 Then Exit Sub MsgBox "Zip Code must be 5 or 9 digits. Please...
