Who has moved to Office 2016

Last week I updated my Office 365 2013 to 2016. Have not done much so far but it looks very similar. Most obvious difference is when the ribbon is collapsed...the colour. Like 2013 it runs complex .mdb files without any issues. it seems to me that MS is trying to get as many people...

Auto height of subform based on record display

You could try something like setting the "height" property of the footer and the "top" property of you your text box that totals the number of transactions and based on the number of records showing in the sub form. Try attaching the code to the OnCurrent event. Personally I think if you...

Will you upgrade to Windows 10?

I am very happy with 8.1, prefer it Windows 7 and because of networking ease. In fact I just bought two more Toshibas while 8.1 is still there. I also advised a mate (not a computer person as such) to bring forward his purchases which he was looking at doing around October. I have the...

    Is it Just Me ?

When I have been battling to get something working the answer has often come as the sun rises, that is, I have been up all night through to the morning. Also, I seem to solve real difficult stuff while using the laptop while watching TV. In fact there have been times where I have spent a few...

Is there a way to shut down a PC (Win 8,1) with VBA

One of the video streaming applications stopped shutdown/s. A box pops that needs OK clicked. But shutdown/p went straight through. I suspect because shutdown/s opens a band with a one minute warning to shutdown. However, shutdown/p just goes straight to shutting down.

Is there a way to shut down a PC (Win 8,1) with VBA

I know it can be done with task scheduling for a set time. However, I am looking for a way whereby the changing the time to shut off is very quick and easy to do as it would be continually done at different times. I have searched Google high and low but to no avail. I was hoping that I could...

Using Access 2013 to make changes to DB in Access 2003

My experience is that it is a hit or miss deal. The 2003.mdb will run without changes in. At least that has been my experience on a couple of versions of very complex 2003 mdbs. Among other things these mdbs have a lot of instances where they open Word and fill bookmarks or open Excel and fill...

    Gun laws do they work

Australia has now had the laws since 1996, so almost 20 years. Probably the main difference is a lot of extra jobs in each states Firearms Registry. Also diversion of police resources because of the checking on the requirements for "safe keeping" which requires police visits. We also now have...

Office 365 and 2003 on same computer

Thanks Dave. I think I might leave well alone and bite the bullet and practice more on 2013:) and especially since you can use 2013 to make an application for 2003 mdb format.

Office 365 and 2003 on same computer

I have Office 365 subscription on one computer. I would like to also put it on a second computer which has 2003. However, I don't want lose Access 2003 as I still prefer it for making applications and they run fine on 2013 whether converted or left as the .mdb file. I mainly want to do it so...
